Ranbir Kapoor Buys Land Parcel in Ayodhya at HoABL Project for ₹3.31 Crore

Ranbir Kapoor has bought a 2,134 sq ft land parcel in Ayodhya for ₹3.31 crore at The House of Abhinandan Lodha’s project “The Sarayu,” a 75-acre plotted development.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has made a major real estate investment in the holy city of Ayodhya. He has purchased a premium land parcel worth around ₹3.31 crore in a project called ‘The Sarayu’, developed by The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).


The land parcel measures 2,134 sq ft and is part of a growing trend where celebrities and high-net-worth individuals are investing in plotted developments in Ayodhya. After veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor has now become the second major Bollywood star to invest in this premium township project.


According to the developer, the deal was completed recently and shows rising interest in Ayodhya’s luxury real estate market.


Details of The Sarayu Project by HoABL

The land parcel is located in ‘The Sarayu’, a large 75-acre plotted development situated along the banks of the Sarayu River in Ayodhya. The project is being developed by The House of Abhinandan Lodha, a branded land developer known for modern plotted developments in India.


The Sarayu project is designed as a premium lifestyle destination with over 35 modern amenities. It will also include a luxury clubhouse, landscaped open spaces, and a fully vegetarian five-acre luxury hotel managed by The Leela group.


The project focuses on combining spiritual importance with modern living standards. It is being positioned as one of the most premium land developments in Ayodhya, targeting investors and families looking for long-term value.


The developer said that demand for branded plotted land in Ayodhya has increased rapidly after large infrastructure growth in the region.


Connection With Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Role


Ranbir Kapoor’s investment has also drawn attention because of his upcoming role in the film Ramayana. The film is being made on a massive budget of around ₹4,000 crore and is expected to be one of the most expensive film projects in India.


In this film, Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama. The cast also includes Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.


Because of this connection, his investment in Ayodhya has gained even more attention, as the city is strongly linked with the story of Lord Ram. Many believe this adds emotional and cultural value to his decision.


Statement From Ranbir Kapoor and Developer

Ranbir Kapoor shared his thoughts on the investment, saying that Ayodhya feels deeply connected to India’s cultural roots. He said the city has a strong historical and spiritual importance, and this investment is part of building a long-term legacy for his family.


He also said that the process with HoABL was smooth and fully digital, making the entire investment simple and transparent.


From the developer side, Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of The House of Abhinandan Lodha, said that Ayodhya is becoming a major centre of cultural and spiritual growth in India. He added that infrastructure development, tourism growth, and global attention are driving long-term real estate demand in the city.


He also said that Ranbir Kapoor’s investment shows how modern buyers now see Ayodhya not only as a spiritual destination but also as a strong future investment market.


Ayodhya Real Estate Growth and Celebrity Interest

In recent years, Ayodhya has seen rapid development due to major infrastructure projects. These include expansion of the international airport, improved road and rail connectivity, and the construction of the Ram Mandir, which has increased tourism and global attention.


A report titled ‘Ayodhya – A Rising Global Spiritual Capital’ states that land prices in the city have grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 19%. Experts believe this growth could reach 25% in the coming years due to rising demand.


Notably, Amitabh Bachchan has also invested multiple times in Ayodhya real estate. In March 2026, he expanded his portfolio with a 2.67-acre land parcel worth ₹35 crore from HoABL. Earlier, he had also purchased smaller plots in the same region, showing continued confidence in the city’s growth.


With rising celebrity investments and large-scale infrastructure development, Ayodhya is quickly emerging as one of India’s most important spiritual and real estate destinations.
